Description: Art song for high voice and piano (optional dbl. celesta) composed for tenor Daniel Mutlu while in Boston. this is one of the longest art songs I’ve done so far. It was written at the behest of Lukas Foss who also chose the poem. It was first performed in an abbreviated form on April 30, 2001 at Boston University’s Marsh Chapel with Daniel Mutlu, tenor and David Cucchiara, piano.
